Ceva Wildlife Research Fund was born from a simple observation: wildlife is the silent barometer of our planet’s health. When it is weakened, the entire web of life is thrown off balance - and so are we. Ceva Wildlife Research Fund exists to ensure that this reality is taken into account.

To understand Ceva Wildlife Research Fund, we must go back to its origins.
In 1999, Ceva Santé Animale was founded with a clear mission: to protect animal health through innovation in veterinary pharmaceuticals. Twenty years later, it has become a global leader in the field, bringing together veterinarians, researchers and scientific teams to develop innovative solutions.
While Ceva Santé Animale is particularly recognized for its solutions for companion and livestock animals, it sought to extend its expertise to all animals, thus giving rise to Ceva Wildlife Research Fund, dedicated to the health and protection wildlife.

Since 2010, Ceva Santé Animale has viewed health as a unified whole: the One Health vision.

Wildlife health: a field recognized as urgent, yet largely underfunded.
Unlike other areas of research, such as human medicine, wildlife health research remains a largely underfunded sector. Why? Simply because there is no sufficiently viable business model to support these studies. Yet wild animals are essential to the balance of life on Earth.
