A joint initiative to strengthen Singapore's preparedness for avian influenza

Ceva Wildlife Research Fund (CWRF), Ceva Animal Health (Ceva), the National Parks Board
(NParks), and the Mandai Wildlife Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly conduct
a pilot project for an avian influenza vaccination program for zoo birds in
Singapore. Building on similar initiatives carried out in Europe and Ceva’s long-standing expertise in avian influenza,
this program aims to strengthen the resilience of threatened and at-risk bird species and to
extend the vaccine’s effectiveness to a wider range of species against the threat of
highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).
